The Mind Controller !

Once in a public gathering I was asked by the orator, What would you pray God to fulfill ? The things you ask for or the things you think for ? I answered him without any second thought that I would pray God to fulfill the things I ask for because our mind has no control over the thoughts, and the human kind yet didn’t expertise the skill. He applauded me for my answer and explained the audience that our mind is tricky, it could be the master as well as the slave, and it depends on how one acts. Self discipline begins with the mastery of our thoughts. If one couldn’t control what he thinks, he wouldn’t be able to control what he does.

It all begins and ends in your Mind,

What you give power to has power over you !

On listening to his lecture, I came back home and googled ‘How to control mind’, the first result was the steps to control mind by WikiHow, the first method was thinking differently encompassing forbidding rumination, self belief, optimizing on our abilities, re-appraising our struggles, terminating over generalization, personalization, catastrophizing and jumping into conclusions, whereas the second method was forming good habits including creating plans, smiling, spending time and money on others, creating obstacles, rewarding self efforts, punishing self control failures, and reducing stress. This seems a neatly executed plan, if followed may succeed in controlling our mind, but the matter of fact it’s not easy to expertise in each of these minute details. And I wished upon a star, that in near future, may the human kind possess a mind controller, maybe a handy electronic gadget, which would solve all your problems from the roots.

Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life

Anthony Robbins

I was occupied by these methods and the percentage of feasibility in succeeding in them, that’s when a wonderful book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne caught my attention. The very thing that was imprinted in my mind after going through a few pages was ‘Focus only on what you want’ and I proceeded to read more of his insights from various sources. I am communicating a few of them which enlivened me deeply. The only reason why people do not have what they want is because they are thinking more about what they don’t want than what they do want. Listen to your thoughts, and listen to the words you are saying. The law is absolute and there are no mistakes. Life isn’t happening to you; life is responding to you. Your thoughts are a creative power to materialize your dream. Have your faith bigger than your doubt. Make it a daily habit to determine every event in your life in advance, through your thoughts. Set the Universal forces ahead of you in everything you do and everywhere you go by thinking the way you want it to go in advance. Then you are creating your life intentionally.

What your mind can conceive, it can achieve !

Let’s examine this case, further, canvassing the words of Albert Einstein that the intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. Yes, the human intelligence in controlling our thoughts is underrated. Various definitions of intelligence tend to converge around similar notions designed to capture the essence of this psychological factor. Jensen notes Carl Bereiter’s definition of intelligence: “what you use when you don’t know what to do”. After their extensive survey, Snyderman and Rothman underscored reasoning, problem solving, and learning as crucial for intelligence. The “mainstream science on intelligence” report coordinated by Gottfredson highlights reasoning, planning, solving problems, thinking abstractly, comprehending complex ideas, learning quickly, and learning from experience. The American Psychological Association (APA) report on intelligence acknowledges that “individuals differ from one another in their ability to understand complex ideas, to adapt effectively to the environment, to learn from experience, to engage in various forms of reasoning, to overcome obstacles by taking thought” [Human intelligence and brain networks]

“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change”, says Albert Einstein, “The highest form of human intelligence is observing yourself without judgement”, says Marianne Williamson, “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change”, says Stephen Hawking and the perception may go on. It is enigmatic to apprehend and stick to one definition. To me, intelligence is the ability to observe every single sort happening around me and the maturity to handle them effectively. And acts as the key factor in controlling our mind and thoughts. Your perspective may differ.

Intelligence is the master of all tools human kind has ever purposed, to govern, to learn, to create, to discover, to exist and to survive. Technically, the symbiosis of neuroscience and machine learning can redefine the human brain and improve intelligence. Thus, a possibility of the merging human intelligence and artificial intelligence may create wonders. This is where Neuroprosthetics steals the thunder, in its simplest form, it’s a device that supplants the input and output of the nervous system. It could be categorized as output neural interfaces, which convert the brain’s intentions to external actions or as input neural interfaces which take information from the environment and convert it into perceptions.  Neural augmentation may allow us to delete or alter our memories, store them in the Cloud, or Google the entire record of our lives. By understanding our neural code, we may be able to upgrade our intelligence and abilities by simply by downloading new programs into our brains. Thus, co evolving with the machines, this project would lead to a brave new world with enhanced intelligence, amplified creativity and synthetic telepathy. [Futurism]

Rule your mind or it’ll rule you

All that you are today is the result of what you have thought

What you think, you become; What you feel, you attract; What you imagine, you create
