Stop beating yourself up, you are a work in progress which means you get there a little at a time, not all at once. Be it the struggle to lose weight, to accomplish a healthy lifestyle, obtain a glowing skin, to fight a deadly illness, to learn a skill, to incur a job, of good salary, of satisfaction and that goes hand in hand with the qualification and capabilities, to achieve a promotion in a job, to achieve fame, life wouldn’t expect one to be patient enough to take one step at a time.
There’s difference between interest and commitment, says, Kenneth Blanchard, when you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient, but when you’re committed to something, you expect no excuses; only results. Never give up on the determination of your goals, based on the measure of the time it would take to accomplish. A little progress each day adds up to big results.
Life is a race, people believe so and if you progress at a slower pace, your illusion says, your success would never be possible, but that’s not true, if you’re persistent, you’ll get what you want whereas if you’re consistent, you’ll keep what you got. The journey matters, sometimes more than the destination. Be proud of the smallest positive changes that nears you to your goal in every single way, and in that manner, your confidence will boost to the extent you never imagined, and you will eventually realize the miracle of patience.
Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and the growth occurs while you’re climbing it
Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally but what you do consistently because falling down is an accident but staying down is a choice. As Confucius stated, it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. And what matters the most was, the slow and steady, always wins the race. Take it one day at a time, enclose yourself with optimism, ask yourself what you want, what sets your soul on fire, what are you passionate about, and set your goals in that due respect, recognize your attributes, acknowledge your progress, aim for development, believe in yourself, reward your efforts, don’t compare yourself with others, you are walking this path, and only you would realize the struggles, don’t insult yourself, believe and always believe in yourself, don’t let frustration knock you, don’t let the memories of your past and the fear of future stand in your way, focus on how you feel and not on the time you take. And to build a better version of yourself, there are no shortcuts.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
I’ll always get up after I fall.
And whether I run, walk or have to crawl,
I’ll set my goals and achieve them all.
With your limitless potential, embrace the conflict, stand and deal the problems, and strive for progress, not perfection!
